French Doors

These French doors are a good example of how attractive oiled Douglas Fir can look on more complex joinery. I use Douglas from UK sources as it is a fast growing, renewable resource with a good resistance to fungal attack and rot, whilst also being a cheaper option than hardwood alternatives. The exterior on these doors was finished using heritage Linseed paint, demonstrating how it can look great either painted or simply oiled.
