Studio Barn Conversion (in progress)

This project is ongoing and will become an artist’s studio. Originally a derelict farm building, I was asked to rebuild the roof structure while incorporating as much of the original timber as was salvageable. Interestingly, the clients specifically ordered un-galvanised corrugated roofing in order to quickly achieve an even oxidised patina which will then be treated to preserve it once it has reached the desired appearance. I'm now currently working on half-glazed sliding doors and two large windows behind traditional oak spindle panels.
