This project was just for my own enjoyment as I rarely have the opportunity to do any free-form carving. It is a purely sculptural form of a boat which I gave my partner as an anniversary present. It's carved from a solid piece of Beech wood and has a natural orange pigment inside. I have subsequently made another on commission for a woman who saw it when visiting my partner's studio.
