Straw Bale House

This project is also from some years back, it was a collaboration between myself and a few friends, all of whom are highly skilled makers and designers in their own right. The client set a simple brief: a beautiful, cosy, functional home on a small scale and a small budget. Our solution was a Nebraska style straw bale house built on rammed-earth pedestals with a shallow pitch corrugated roof and finished in naturally pigmented lime render.
